Winter is coming, you know, and people get depressed easier. But… you know the saying goes like helping others makes you happier in return. So let’s do this! Between the 16-21st November ESN Debrecen is organizing the SocialErasmus Week 2015 Autumn, part of the International SocialErasmus Week, when you can help others, make them glad and make yourselves happy as well.

Monday, 16th November: Blood Donation
III. Kossuth Dormitory, 5th floor 14:30
Did you know that by donating your blood, what only takes up to 10-15mins, you can save 3 people's lives? If you haven’t donated blood in the past 3 months, if you are disease free, if you are above 50 kgs, please come and save the life of 3 people! Those who donate will get some water and chocolate to help your body recover the loss of blood.
You need to bring your ID (student card, or passport) and health insurance card and an address certifying card. IMPORTANT: non-EU citizens can also donate blood in Hungary if they have insurance (and as we all must have health insurance to study at our beloved university this means we all can donate, no excuses :) )

Tuesday, 17th November: Charity Boxes
III. Kossuth Dormitory, Kolkáv Pub, 20:00
We will decorate boxes for the Charity Box project. This project is about collecting many things for underprivileged families.
Things we will collect: Shelf-stable food: rice, flour, pasta, canned food, anything that can be kept on room temperature for a longer period of time.
Tuesday, 17th November: Erasmus in School
10 - 11:00 AM
We are going to visit one of our High Schools in Debrecen together with some Erasmus Students. The aim of the event is to tell more about the importance of the exchange programs and they can also ask questions from the Erasmus students, as well.
Wednesday, 18th November: Animal Shelter - “Adopt” a Dog Campaign
In front of the Main Building, 14:00
We are going to visit the local animal shelter in Debrecen. We are going to clean their kennel and place. Bringing some food would be great to support them. We are also going to take pictures about the dogs, post them to our Facebook page that will help to find the best owner for the dogs.
Thursday, 19th November: Temporary House for Children
Meeting point: In front of the Main Building, 16:00
We are going to visit the Temporary House for Children in Debrecen. They would like to paint a Family Tree, so come and let’s paint it together to cheer them up!
